New Regulations for Fascinators in the Royal Enclosure at Ascot

The officials at Ascot have slightly changed the regulations as to the wearing of hats and fascinators in the Royal Enclosure. They are trying to keep the occasion as formal as possible and with that introduced some new rules which state that fascinators or headpieces which they like to call them have to have a base of at least 4" or 10cm in diameter. At Prettycool we have many fascinators that will fit these requirements and will be adding many new designs on the build up to Ascot and the many other race meetings which we know people love to wear fascinators to.

We know our customers will continue to wear fascinators to Ascot aswell as many other occasions. Kate Middleton has championed fascinators ever since we first saw her and we are sure she will continue to wear fascinators for a long time yet. Why wouldn't she, she looks stunning!

Fascinator or Hat?

Quite a controversial subject at present, according to so called "experts" in the media.

While I was watching Ascot this year the fashion expert James (something or other) mentioned that hats were very big this year and he said that he thought that the fascinator has been assassinated. Well, I don't know where he was looking but I saw thousands of ladies wearing fascinators and were looking stunning in them. We have sold more fascinators this year than last for Ascot races aswell as for weddings etc. I really think these fashion experts especially the ones at Ascot do seem to focus on the very top end of society and really are very snobbish about the whole occasion. We even sent two to Buckingham Palace this year, if they're good enough for Buckingham Palace they're good enough for anyone. Everybody has their own reasons for wearing either a fascinator or a hat, some people just detest hats and find them very awkward to wear or that they simply don't suit them.

For weddings fascinators are a great choice especially if going to the evening reception you can take out the fascinator and your hair will still be looking great whereas with a hat your hair will look as flat as a pancake.

At last we have nailed ourselves down to do our blog. We started our website about 2 years ago and now feel after all this time we finally have a site to be proud of. Our range of fashion jewellery is huge and we are constantly adding designs to the site, for instance this season's big trend being ethnic, our ethnic range is amazing and something to suit everyone's taste, big and bold and then for the less confident still keeping on trend but a little more delicate.

Our biggest seller for this Summer and we expect to go through to the Autumn is our bendy snake necklace which is available in bronze, silver and gold. Even though we have stocked this since last Autumn they have only really begun to be popular in the last 2 months, this may be paritially due to the high profile celebrities being seen wearing these. Only the other night we spotted Carol Thatcher wearing one, but please don't be put off there are far more glamorous women looking stunning in these.

Another big trend at this moment is the large fashion rings seen in many magazines and at our prices you could afford to have one with every outfit. Check out our cubic zirconia rings available in clear, red, purple, lilac, green & amber.
